dan.gero.us (?)

My host Raymond dropped me an email asking whether I am lost in Hawaii in the middle of a lazy bed … Indeed, sounds like my holiday season doesn’t end, sorry about that if you consider work as the natural life’s companion.
In short, I was wondering what makes the web 2.0 a bit dan.gero.us. I am not talking about the stupid http://dan.gero.us/ url but more specifically about the “2.0″ Tag and Bookmarking hysteria.
Oops (already wrote 2 lines this morning), let’s quickly get to the point.
Marketing teams could use social bookmarks for competitive analysis to track what a competitor is doing; Sales could use it to learn and share information about targeted companies; knowledge workers could use the technology to track a particular subject such as Exchange Traded Funds or cell phones. What’s more, people can share these lists, and the data lives on even after an employee leaves the company.
This paragraphs is an extract of ABC: An Introduction to Enterprise 2.0 from CIO.com about a possible use of de.licio.us popular tags and bookmarks. Don’t believe it’s only a fiction although few people examine the 2.0 with this aim in mind. Funny to observe how suggestive is this CIO.com article …
